How to Load a Dumpster
Load heavy, flat items first and spread them across the floor. Break down furniture and fill gaps with small debris. Stop when the load is level with the top rim. Concrete, dirt, brick and sand go only in a 10- or 15-yard dumpster, filled halfway.

How full can I fill a dumpster?
You can fill a Cade Bros dumpster up to the top rim, and no higher. Texas DOT rules don't allow us to haul an overloaded bin. If debris sticks up above the rim, a $125 dry-run fee applies and the extra debris has to come out before we can pick it up.
How full can I fill a dumpster with concrete or dirt?
Concrete, dirt, brick and sand can fill a 10- or 15-yard dumpster only halfway up the walls. Heavy debris reaches highway weight limits long before the dumpster looks full. For clean-fill pricing, the load must be one material only, like concrete with no trash or wood.

What is the best way to load a dumpster?
The best way to load a roll-off dumpster is in layers: heavy and flat items on the bottom, bulky items broken down in the middle, and small debris filling the gaps. Spread weight evenly from front to back so the load sits level and the truck can haul it safely.
Plan the load
Know your included tons and keep heavy debris in the right size.
Heavy first
Lay heavy, flat pieces on the floor, spread end to end.
Break it down
Take apart furniture and cut long boards to save space.
Fill the gaps
Pack bags and small debris into the empty spaces.
Stop at the rim
Keep the top flat and level with the rim, with the door latched.
Cover the dumpster with a tarp before rain: wet debris weighs more, and you pay for every pound over your limit. How weight is billed
Loading questions
Can I stack debris above the top of the dumpster?
No. Debris must stay level with the top rim. Texas DOT rules don't allow us to haul an overloaded bin, so an overfilled dumpster gets a $125 dry-run fee and the extra has to come out first.
Should I load heavy items first?
Yes. Put heavy, flat items on the bottom and spread them across the floor. That keeps the load balanced for the truck and leaves room on top for lighter debris.
Can I use the rear door to load the dumpster?
Yes. The rear door swings open so you can walk or wheel debris in. Close and latch it before pickup.
How do I stop neighbors from using my dumpster?
Keep it in view, cover it with a tarp when you're not loading, and ask for pickup as soon as you're done. Every pound in the dumpster counts toward your bill.
Need a bigger dumpster or a swap?
If your job outgrows the dumpster, call and we'll swap it for an empty one.
